Hi, I am the Beaver Scout leader that painted this horse that I call SP Scout. I took 4 years of art in high school and a few years of advanced oil painting classes. Painting this horse was a labor of love for two reasons, one because of the kids and sending them to camp and the other because the horse was based on our two-year-old gorgeous stallion “Flyer”. Once I finally got started on painting the horse, I realize my design was a bit extreme for my timeframe and I would have to spend every minute working on it. It took over 140 hours I estimated, in the just over two weeks I worked on it. I am very proud of how it turned out I hope everyone enjoys it.
