Between Friends offers social, recreation, and self-development opportunities for people with disabilities. They help create an environment where their participants can connect, grow, and belong through participation in various activities. This organization is pan-disability, meaning any person with or without a disability can participate. Between Friends offers year-round, weekly, evening and weekend programming as well as a number of summer camp experiences. Camp Bonaventure is a day camp designed for children ages 4-17, Camp Funz’Amust is a residential camp with sessions designed for members both under and over the age of 18, and Adventurers, where adults with disabilities have the opportunity to go on 2 to 5 day excursions. Between Friends envisions a community where people with disabilities reach their individual potential and are recognized as valued citizens.
