Artist Bio:
Lori Sobkowich is a Calgary based artist who currently works in the fields of figurative painting and drawing as well as professional stained glass.  Her art is part of the collections for the City of Calgary (Prince’s Island, Auburn Bay), Glenbow Museum (Mavericks Exhibit), in the public collections of Alberta Foundation for the Arts, as well as corporate and private collections. Lori donated her time to complete this horse on behalf of Between Friends.


Auction Rules:
All bidding is in Canadian Dollars. Minimum Bid is $500.00 CAD.
Depending on billing/shipping location, additional shipping charges may apply.
Bidding will close on Friday, September 11th at 11:59pm Mountain Time.

When you place a bid, you are committing to purchase. In order to ensure the stated goals, ultimate success and the integrity of the Horses Jump to Give a Leg Up initiative (the program) for both the potential buyers (bidders) and the individual charities participating, once auction bids for any individual horse reach and surpass $2,500 Spruce Meadows, on behalf of the program, reserves the right to contact the respective bidders to confirm credibility, intention and ability to pay the amount currently bid and leading the auction. This may include credit card confirmation or certified banking arrangements. Successful/winning bids are deemed binding.  We will contact the winning bidder after Friday, September 11th for payment details.

Product Description

Between-FriendsBetween Friends offers social, recreation, and self-development opportunities for people with disabilities. They help create an environment where their participants can connect, grow, and belong through participation in various activities. This organization is pan-disability, meaning any person with or without a disability can participate. Between Friends offers year-round, weekly, evening and weekend programming as well as a number of summer camp experiences. Camp Bonaventure is a day camp designed for children ages 4-17, Camp Funz’Amust is a residential camp with sessions designed for members both under and over the age of 18, and Adventurers, where adults with disabilities have the opportunity to go on 2 to 5 day excursions. Between Friends envisions a community where people with disabilities reach their individual potential and are recognized as valued citizens.
