Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA Calgary Region) is part of Canada’s most established national mental health organization. They facilitate access to the resources people require to maintain and improve mental health and community integration, build resilience and support recovery from mental illness and addiction. They build awareness and provide education, advocacy and support for individuals and families affected by mental illness, addiction, or loss by suicide through 15 community-based support programs. These programs falls under four pillars which they refer to as the HOPE model of services delivery (Housing, Outreach, Peer support and Education). CMHA works with other community organizations to bridge gaps in the mental health care system and facilitate access to services and resources.
